About Us
What is Ozarin?
Ozarin.co.uk is a UK-based website dedicated to providing our readers with a variety of up-to-date reviews, features and articles based on modern visual culture, primarily of Japanese origin though with a distinct western flair. With anime reviews, game trailers, previews of the latest figures and film news to name but a few, Ozarin has a little bit of something for everyone.
Who are we?
We are a selection of avid enthusiasts based primarily in Glasgow, each contributing articles encompassing a broad range of topics and opinions. We are all passionate about our community, striving to provide content that is both informative and interesting.
Where did we come from?
Ozarin began way back in 2007 as the brain-child of Bryan Mcdowall, a web developer from Scotland who wanted a way to bring the UK community closer together, and as an outlet for his passion for Japanese culture. From its humble beginnings as a personal blog, the site grew to include more ideas and themes, morphing it into the grand amalgamation of cultures that we can see today!
About the Mascot
You may have noticed our lovely little mascot hiding in various sections of the website. Her name is Rin and her design is courtesy of Mr Steven Leswell. For those of you who are interested, she’s 19 years old, blood type O+ and her favourite colour is blue.
